as the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in our life. i don't expect complete freedom, which is impossible. i simply have a dream that supports my life.

i dream that one day, i could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooks and lead my own life. with my favorite fictions, i lie freely on the green grass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the fresh and cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last. simple and short enjoyment can bring me great satisfaction.

good morning/afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. it is my honor to stand here and give my speech to you. my name is wuchengwen. i am fourteen years old and come from dalian no.34 middle school. as one of the members who were born in the 1990s, i share several hobbies with those of the same age. although i am a little fat, i like sports very much, such as skiing, swimming and so on. i like skiing because it is really exciting. when you slide from the high to the low, you will get a larger speed than running or cycling. everything round you is left behind fast, you can feel the flying snow on your face, and you will find yourself nearly out of breath. the noisy sound of wind reminds you of your fast speed, which even convinces you that you are in the competition with time. it is just amazing!

besides skiing, i am also interested in swimming. jumping into the water, the water will make you feel cool and comfortable. especially when swimming in the sea, you can not see the end of the sea, you can never swim to the other end, but this will keep you trying and trying to challenge yourself, challenge your life. what is in your mind now is just to swim and swim. all your trouble is forgotten and the stress can also be released.

一、竞赛目的：

为了进一步推进我校英语教学的发展，调动学生学习英语的积极性，提高学生“听”、“说”的技能，全面展示我校学生英语口语的表达能力，提高全体学生的学习兴趣及综合运用能力，培养学生良好的听说习惯，给学生提供锻炼自我、展示自我的舞台。特向学校领导班子申请举行一次学生英语口语比赛。

二、参加对象：

七至八年级学生（每班限2人）。

三、时间比赛：2014年6月6日。

四、比赛地点：多媒体教室

五、比赛形式

1、朗读短文。

2、回答对方问题。

3、看图说话。

（现场抽题，屏幕给出演讲题目及相关的文本信息，选手须根据给定题目及相关信息完成演讲。）

准备时间：40秒

演讲时间：90秒

六、评委组成

英语口语竞赛活动总结

为了提高学生的英语口语表达能力，展示学生的良好素质，提高学生学习英语的积极性，我校于2014年6月6日下午，开展了学生英语口语比赛。

接到通知后，各个班级积极准备、踊跃报名。经过认真筛选后，共26名学生参加了此次比赛。在比赛中，选手们发挥出色，表情生动，动作合理。比赛的过程是紧张并快乐着的。本次比赛为学生学习英语、交流口语创设了良好氛围，不仅考查了学生们的英语口语表达水平，提高了学生们学习英语的积极性，而且很好的促进了我校英语教学水平的提高！

比赛结束后，每位英语教师对自己平时的课堂教学也有了更多的反思。英语教学应更多注重学生的兴趣培养，课堂上适当渗透文化知识，如中西方节日的对比、生活习惯的对比、社会现状对比等等，使学生在学习该语言的同时，也对该语言国家有简单的了解。此外，在课堂上也让学生充分发挥自己的才能，添加歌唱、舞蹈、表演、竞赛等活动，让学生在学习语言的过程，又能在各项才艺展示中获得自信、激发兴趣。

希望本次活动能够让我们英语教师和每个学生留下美好的回忆，喊响我校学习英语的口号，“ｉbelieve i can.”
